The history of the Bible… in plain language. This is a much-needed source that explains how we got our Bible in an easily understood text and is an excellent book for all Christians, from new converts to veteran pastors.

This enlarged third edition has two added chapters with expanded information on the New American Standard Version, New International Version, New King James Version & New Scofield Reference Bible.

Proponents of new Bible versions specialize in creating confusion, including the arguments about the “oldest” manuscripts, “best” manuscripts, or “majority” manuscripts. You will learn the story of the Bible, taking you from the earliest copies through the history of translations.

I have read other books searching for the TRUTH concerning, “Is there a bible today that is the inspired word of God?” “Why are there missing verses in some bible translations compared to the 1611 King James Bible?” And many other questions concerning the different manuscripts. This book, “Gipp’s Understandable History of the Bible”, has answered my questions and given me clarity and peace within my spirit. Very easy to read and understand for a layman such as myself. I would encourage all saved believers in Christ to read this book from beginning to end. I would put it in the category of ” Must Read” books!
    Matthew 24:35 and Isaiah 55: 10-11
(the Authorized 1611 King James Bible)
